An iconic Vancouver view for my first post here - Canada Place conference centre and cruise ship terminal, one of the two or three cruise ships that leave the city every summer day, and the North Shore mountains in the distance. The white roofs are meant to recall sails and snowy mountains. It's actually amazing that they are still white, since most shiny new buildings in Vancouver are quickly besmirched by a layer of algae and mildew (technical term: "scum"), not to mention the diesel soot from the aforementioned cruise ships. Maybe they have herds of rappelling cleaners every night?
It's a beautiful drawing, no scum there. And those two little black specs in the foreground are escapees from North Van perhaps, making the illegal crossing?
